What to Expect During a Four-Point Insurance Inspection in Florida

A four-point inspection is a standard requirement for many Florida homeowners getting new or renewed insurance. Here is what to expect.

    What the Inspector Evaluates

The inspector assesses four systems: roof, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. Each is evaluated visually for condition and safety.

    The Electrical Portion

The inspector checks your panel brand, visible condition, wiring type, grounding, and GFCI protection. They do not open the panel cover.

    How to Prepare

    • Ensure your panel is accessible
    • Make sure all areas are accessible
    • Check that GFCI outlets are functional
    • Have any previous inspection reports ready
