What Is an Electrical Subpanel and When Does Your Florida Home Need One?

An electrical subpanel adds circuit space to your home without replacing your main panel. Here is when your Florida home might need one.

    What Is a Subpanel?

A subpanel is a smaller panel fed by a dedicated circuit from your main panel. It provides additional breaker space for new circuits.

    When You Need One

    • Your main panel is full but has adequate capacity
    • You are adding a garage, workshop, or addition
    • You want to organize circuits by area

    Subpanel vs. Panel Upgrade

If your main panel is too small (100-amp or less), a panel upgrade may be better. If your panel is adequate but full, a subpanel is the solution.

    Need More Circuit Space?

We can help you decide between a subpanel and a panel upgrade.
