What to Expect During the Electrical Portion of a Four-Point Inspection in Florida

If your insurer has requested a four-point inspection, here is exactly what the inspector will look at during the electrical portion.

    What the Inspector Evaluates

    • Panel brand and approximate age
    • Visible condition of the panel
    • Visible wiring type
    • Grounding and bonding
    • GFCI and AFCI protection
    • Visible deficiencies

What the Inspector Does Not Do

The inspector does not open the panel cover, test breakers, or evaluate wiring inside the walls. It is a visual assessment only.

    What Gets Flagged

Older panel brands (Federal Pacific, Zinsco), visible corrosion, insufficient capacity, and lack of GFCI protection are the most common flags.
