Electric vehicle adoption is growing rapidly in Florida. If you are considering an EV charger for your home, here is what you need to know.
Level 1 vs Level 2 Charging
Level 1 chargers use a standard 120V outlet and add about 3-5 miles of range per hour. Level 2 chargers use a dedicated 240V circuit and add 25-30 miles per hour.
Panel Requirements
A Level 2 charger requires a dedicated 40-50 amp circuit. Your panel must have enough capacity to support this additional load. If not, a panel upgrade may be needed.
Installation Process
We run a dedicated circuit from your panel to the charger location, install the charger, and test the connection. Permits are required and handled by our team.
